TSA RULE OF TWO POLICY
TWENTYTOEIGHT SPORTS ACADEMY INC. (TSA)-RULE OF TWO POLICY
Twentytoeight Sports Academy Inc. (TSA) is committed to providing a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all athletes. As part of our commitment to Safe Sport, our organization follows the Rule of Two, as recommended by Canada Basketball and required by Ontario Basketball.
WHAT IS RULE OF TWO POLICY
The Rule of Two means that, whenever possible, there should be two responsible adults present during interactions with athletes, particularly with minors. Ideally, these adults are screened and trained coaches or approved volunteers. This practice helps create a safe environment for athletes while also protecting coaches and volunteers.
twentytoeight Sports Academy Inc. (TSA) is committed to:
Following the Rule of Two during practices, games, travel, meetings, and team activities whenever possible.
Ensuring coaches and volunteers complete all required screening and Safe Sport training as required by Ontario Basketball.
Promoting open, observable, and appropriate interactions between coaches and athletes.
Encouraging parent and guardian involvement to support a safe sport environment.
Providing a culture where athletes feel safe, respected, and supported.
Twentytoeight Sports Academy Inc. (TSA) believes every athlete deserves the opportunity to participate in basketball in an environment that is safe, inclusive, and free from abuse, harassment, discrimination, and maltreatment.
